Jeju Air launches new Batam, Bali routes

Jeju Air Co., South Korea’s leading low-cost carrier (LCC), said on Tuesday that it will launch the routes to Batam and Bali, Indonesia.

It’s the first domestic LCC to open the routes to Indonesia.

The Batam route operates three times a week (four times a week starting October 16), and the Bali route runs daily.

The Batam route departs from Incheon International Airport every Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday at 9:05 p.m., arriving at Batam’s Hang Nadim International Airport at 1:30 am the following day. The return flight departs Batam at 2:45 a.m., arriving at 11:25 am.

Starting October 27, the Batam route will operate on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, departing Incheon at 5:45 pm and arriving in Batam at 10:30 pm. The return flight will depart Batam at 11:45 pm, arriving back at 8:35 am the following day.

The Bali route departs daily from Incheon at 3:40 pm, arriving at Bali’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport at 9:50 pm. The return flight leaves Bali at 11:05 pm, arriving back at 7:10 am the following day.

Jeju Air secured the right to operate the Batam route through the regular allocation of traffic rights by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport in May. In June, the airline entered the Bali route by signing a codeshare agreement with Indonesia’s Lion Air Group.
