So the last time I made this, the boys loved it but they complained that there wasn’t enough flavor in it. So I made a few changes this time. I added about 1tbsp of chicken powder/flavoring into the beef and the beef sat in the fridge for one day versus a few hours, more garlic and added green beans. They didn’t care for the egg the last time, so I skipped out on it and they wanted it a bit more saucy, so I made some sauce for them but left it on the side so they could add it themselves. I found the beef had more taste after adding the chicken powder and letting it sit overnight. Oh and this time, as I cooked each vegetable I did add salt, I totally forgot last time and added salt at the end which didn’t taste right. Adding as you go was much better. Also the last time, I used a low-sodium soy sauce which probably added to the lack of depth. Overall it turned out really well – they ate it up and took some for lunch – always a good sign! ☺️ While we’re at it… just wanted to share this song my friend u/chromedoutcortex wrote with his partner. All about ramyeon. I don’t understand Korean and he said that they were both a bit tipsy when they wrote this (music by Suno) so it may not even make sense.
