Is the Kpop industry evolving? Will independent, multicultural, or co-ed groups rise?

With the rise of KATSEYE and the continued growth of KARD it seems like at least in some space, the industry is evolving and growing. My greatest hope is that someday we can see more multicultural groups sing with different languages, and more co-ed groups. That the K pop style of idols and development can become a branching off point for the success of so many groups and artists. But I also look forward to maybe seeing a growth in independent artists. With more control over production, branding and lifestyle who knows what could be created. But is this even realistic? And would anyone even invest in it? HYBE had a global audition recently so maybe they are trying to make another KATSEYE. So who knows whats possible!
