Is League of Legends still popular among young audiences (13-20 years old) in South Korea? Are there other games young people pick up/play more?

Hi everyone,

Making this post as I’m working for an independent “so-called” connect/agent that connect (global) brands to esports/sports/entertainment right-holders (think esports teams, gaming studios, talent, sports organization etc)

I’m 28M from France and grew up with the rise of League of Legends with of course T1 and the hegemony of the LCK as the best league in the world.

I feel like, on a global scale, esports has faded a bit in terms of popularity, but I wanted to get some feedback about LOL’s state in south korea?

is it still very popular among young (13-18) audiences? is it mostly played by people my age (28-35)? I know that the audience at LoL Park during games seem to be mostly women/girls, do men also watch the games?

I’m asking those question in anticipation to a meeting I’ll have with a global brand and would like to offer them as many insights as possible,

Thanks in advance, I hope my post isn’t too intrusive or straightforward
