Is 곱창전골 considered a difficult food to eat even in Korea?

Gopchang jeongol is one of my favorite Korean dishes but every time I would order it (before I found my go-to restaurant where I became a regular so I don’t think they’re that surprised anymore) they would check multiple times if I was sure I liked it or have tried it and would either have an impressed expression or just a straight up look of disbelief on their faces. I asked some Korean peers and they said that it’s not considered delicious by most people even in Korea, but I found it difficult to believe considering how often tripe is featured as a delicacy in the Korean travel/food shows I follow.

What’s the general consensus on this dish in Korea? (Thanks for your time and replies!)
