Idols line distribution and choses in general

So I remember seeing a YouTube short from a member of a group saying that he was tired of people complaining about members not getting enough, or the right lines. He mentioned that they get to choose their lines distributions and some members don’t want to do xyz, they just don’t fit the part, etc. I just came across it again today and it’s from a live from Kehoo from p1harmony (I genuinely don’t know a lot about this group)! I wanted to make a post about it before, but I didn’t even remember the group or member who was in the video. So I guess my question is how much ‘control’ do we think groups actually have in terms of… things in general? I also remember seeing a designer for TWICE explain that the members essentially got to design certain outfits for their tour. At the same time, I was seeing a lot of discourse about xyz’s outfits finally looking good/fitting, etc. and in my mind due to how much they’re loved as well as how long they’ve been around, I figured they have much more say than people give them credit for (maybe not!!). And this also brings up the ‘idols being overworked’ commentary (nuance because of course no normal person could do all of this and still be mentally/physically healthy so of course it’s a lot!). Depending on the group, company, how big they are, longevity – is that what entails what how much say they have? Just wondering if anyone else has seen members talk about this! I’m moreso of the mindset that a lot of groups have more say than we think, but there’s once again obvious nuance to that since it’s well, the idol industry. 😅
