I only have Samjang (mild). But the recipe called for Gochujang. Both are red color. Otoke ?

Is it Samjang is mild and Gochujang is spicy (hot) version ? If the recipe calles for one tablespoon of Gochujang, all I need to do is put two tablespoons of Samjang ? Will that work ?

I want to make Sundubu jijae.
