Help identifying traditional Korean garment

You guys have probably heard of KPOP Demon Hunters by now. I want to cosplay one of the villains from the scene where they sing Your Idol, dressed in traditional Korean clothing. Since I’m not Korean and know little about Korean history or culture, I want to be absolutely sure that I do this correctly, to avoid any disrespect to Koreans and their heritage.

The hat is easily identifiable as a Gat, but it’s the long coats I can’t figure out. I’ve heard that it’s a sochangui, but in all my searching I can’t find any examples that look like the garments from the movie. These coats go down to their ankles, have two slits near the bottom, and don’t appear to have a means to tie them closed, as they are open during the entire scene.

Also, there seems to be some kind of accessory hanging from the front (from their perspective, on the right side of the coat) just underneath the chest. It’s like a strip of fabric about 7-8 inches long, hanging from two metal rings. The lighting in the scene makes it difficult to get a clear view of it, but all 5 of the villains have it. The best image I have is from the third picture, where one of the demons is fighting with the girl, because it’s partly illuminated by the glow from her weapon, just beneath the staff, between her hand, and his. Any idea what this is?

Anyway, those are the only two questions I have. I hope it’s okay to post this here. I tried to post in r/AskAKorean, but I wasn’t able to post images, and they’re kind of necessary for you guys to know what I’m asking about.
