Hi everyone,
I’m considering travelling to South Korea (from Canada) for ulnar nerve revision surgery, and I’m currently speaking with Severance Hospital in Seoul. The procedure would likely involve:
- Microsurgical neurolysis
- Possibly transmuscular re-transposition
- And a fat graft or nerve wrapping for protection
They’ve quoted me a price that’s significantly lower than what I’d pay in the US, which is great, but I haven’t been able to find many patient reviews, especially from foreigners or medical tourists.
So I’m wondering:
- Has anyone had nerve surgery, hand surgery, or microsurgery at Severance?
- Do you know if Dr. Choi Yun Rak (hand or peripheral nerve specialist) has a good reputation?
- Any insight on cost, aftercare, communication, or outcomes would really help.
I’m considering other international hospitals too (like Mount Elizabeth in Singapore and Chang Gung in Taiwan), but Severance is high on the list due to cost and their facilities. Just trying to learn from real patient experience.
Thank you so much in advance!
