I thought about how some sports with professional leagues are, and while the two are not completely comparable, I think it could work?
It’s just like a hope. But probably won’t happen anytime soon.
I know it would not happen likely because of money, promotion schedules, award shows, obviously different companies and such, but I think something like that would be nice.
I feel like a month would be good, but also might have more pressure put on idols to work harder during the other 11 months.
I don’t think a person’s skills would necessarily wither to a significant degree, but I have never truly trained in the arts… so I’m not sure. It might just make getting used to things again a little harder.
I feel like there are so many things to think about in order to make this work.
Like it could be legally enforced? If that doesn’t sound too off. Required in idols’ contracts, or just an industry standard in general.
I know it would not remedy all the other issues in K-pop and its stressors to idols, but I hope it would be respite of some sort.
I haven’t looked into it too deeply, but I’m assuming now it’s under the discretion of the company, the idol(s) and their amount of power in the in their company/popularity/wealth.
