I don’t understand why, in every fandom, the majority of fans feel the need to feel sorry for their idols like they are some type of victims; they make it sound like they are some people who work 9 to 12 am and are getting paid minimum wage. C’mon, they make millions of dollars. They’ve been overworked since they were trainees, from the moment they decided to pursue this route; they dreamed, begged, and pleaded to be famous, and they know how is it is gonna be like. They themselves admit that they are very thankful that they have succeeded, and yes, we see some clips behind the scenes of their practice, etc. But that’s the nature of their job, and fans need to make peace with it. Lots of fans whine about how overworked the K-pop idols are, and at the same time, they ask them for more content and music. Are you serious? Being a K-pop idol is their job; it can be physically and mentally challenging like any other job, but at least they make good money out of it.
