Note: None of this justifies the hate, death threats this groups has gotten online. However the post made earlier glosses over and gaslights commentors about the well documented evidence of anti feminist stance taken by Chodan and that OP tries to downplay it constantly.
As of this date, she has neither taken back those statements nor apologized.
That OP, while defending Chodan, themselves put this translation of their own of her comments and claims it’s not as bad as other people say her comments are-
For me too, at first, I was told to hide that I went to a women’s university. But i didn’t hide it on purpose. I knew this sort of thing would happen, so i didn’t hide it. because I’m not like that. The fact that I’m being affected because of those ‘crazy women‘… (or crazy b*tches)… [for context, the “bitches” are the students from her school that called to fire a professor who raped his student (me too movement).]
As someone who attended a women’s university and witnessed the significant events up close, I have not only come to dislike the feminists due to their disgusting and filthy actions, but have also developed a sense of intense aversion in this current era where controversies are erupting
OP expects that using other words like “aversion” or “crazy women” and not “hatred” and “crazy bitches” is somehow going to make it sound like Chodan was not anti MeToo or feminism.
The OP also alleges that the professor Chodan was defending was not accused of rape (?) although in the thread other defenders also say that she did this under a belief of her feeling he was innocent.
another commentor found that
” the court ruled that the dismissal of the professor was justified in a second trial. however, this was after chodan has made her statements after getting harassed for being a feminist.

looking up namu wiki led me to the second trial where judgement was made on 16 September 2021. the case was closed later in 2022.

in chodan’s viewpoint at that time, the students ruined an innocent professor’s career, harassed her for questioning whether it’s right, misogynists found out that she was from the same university and harassed her so she HAD to clarify that she wasn’t one of them.”
We are aware of how korean patriarchal society works and how the accused are often given more grace than the victims than the victims themselves.
And while the situation is rather complicated, Chodan did use the words “filthy”, “crazy” etc for feminists anyway- subscribing to the mainstream anti feminist stance in Korea which is normalized there to appease misogynists.
TLDR: Don’t give Qwer any hate, but a member of the groups has been openly misogynistic and has never taken back that stance (albeit in a complicated situation) nor addressed it even after the second ruling.
