Can anybody tell me why homophobia and transphobia are rampant in South Korea?

I just discovered South Koreans are actually homophobic in general and don’t like trans people either. I am confused because from what I know about Koreans, a lot of men tend to be very feminine. Just look at K POP artists. The men wear colorful skinny jeans and makeup and they kiss each other all the time. They also act very feminine and dance and talk in a soft manner. And K POP is very very popular there and many boys grow up wanting to get into that industry.

So in a country like that, how can they also be homophobic? I thought it would be very gay friendly and trans surgeries would be popular. It seems like Korean men want to be women so badly and like other men.
