As someone who has been in the kpop / bts space I must admit that it’s been a tolling journey. Something as simply stanning one of my favorite groups feels like a chore at time I question if I’m even a fan. Everything is so fast paced and borderline culty, because god forbid you think against the grain. I struggle to find individuality in a sea of clones and it’s honestly so disheartening. I want to enjoy the perks of relating to my fellow armies and kpop fans in general but it’s this constant arrogance that festers in these spaces. I shouldn’t be surprised but it’s downright annoying. I wish to share my thoughts and love for BTS without considering the trends or having to form a witty post just to get some traction. It’s been weird and just makes it harder to connect the vibes been off after 2018 it’s like do you even Support the group or the trendy culture of it all?? No one should feel like they have to prove their love for a group or perform for a bunch of jobless randos on the internet. It’s all so disingenuous.. I expect a little more from my fandom considering the messages BTS preaches of individuality but ig nobody is listening after all lol Anyways I’m not sure if anyone will even care or take time to read this, either way I’m glad I got my thoughts out.
