Okay, I don’t even know where to start because I’m still recovering from the sonic gut-punch that is Taesan’s Take My Tears. Like—WHY is this unreleased?! Who gave him the right to go this hard emotionally and sonically? I keep coming back to Take My Tears and every time I listen, I catch something new in the lyrics. This is one of those rare tracks where the emotion isn’t just in the voice or the instrumentation—it’s baked into the words. And combined with the raw rock sound?? It’s such a cathartic experience.
From the first strum and the urgency of those drums, you know it’s not just another sad boy ballad. This is gritty, distorted, bleeding-heart rock—and it hits like something you’d find scribbled in a journal, torn out, and thrown on stage with a mic and a spotlight. I
This is just a testament to Taesan’s songwriting skills. If this is an unreleased version, I am extremely excited for his future songs and what Boynextdoor’s upcoming Lollapalooza performance is gonna look like.
