Blackpink has done it again. The music video for “Pink Venom,” the pre-release single from the group’s second full-length album, has officially surpassed 1 billion views on YouTube, YG Entertainment announced on Monday.

Released on August 19, 2022, the video reached the 10-digit view count nearly three years later—another notch in Blackpink’s long line of digital milestones. It’s the group’s ninth video to join the billion-view club, a testament to their enduring global appeal and powerful fandom.

This new milestone puts “Pink Venom” alongside other BLACKPINK megahits like “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du” (2.3 billion views), “Kill This Love” (2.1 billion), and both versions of “How You Like That” (performance and official videos with 1.8 billion and 1.3 billion views, respectively).

Rounding out the list are the group’s debut track “Boombayah,” the summer anthem “As If It’s Your Last,” Lisa’s solo performance video “Money,” and Jennie’s solo debut “Solo”—all of which have also crossed the 1-billion-view mark. Each video carries not just high numbers, but memories and moments fans have cherished over the years.

“Pink Venom” wasn’t just another release—it was an event. Within 24 hours of its debut, the video had already racked up 90.4 million views, setting a global record for the most-viewed female artist video in that time span. It became the fastest K-pop girl group video to hit 100 million views (in just under 30 hours), and crossed 200 million views within a week.

Musically, “Pink Venom” blends Blackpink’s unmistakable swagger with a touch of Korean tradition. The track opens with hauntingly beautiful traditional instrumentals before diving into fierce rap lines and bold vocals. It’s a sound that feels both grounded and global—much like the group itself.

Blackpink is currently in the midst of their massive “Born Pink World Tour,” which spans 31 shows in 16 cities. They’ve already lit up stages in Goyang, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, New York, and Paris. Up next: Milan, Barcelona, London, Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Jakarta, Bulacan, Singapore, Tokyo, and Hong Kong. From the screen to the stage, Blackpink continues to make history—and memories—for fans all around the world.
