After three years away from the recording studio, BLACKPINK is finally on track to drop a new album this November. If released as planned, it will be the group’s first record since their second full-length album Born Pink in September 2022.
YG Entertainment’s chief producer Yang Hyun-suk said in a blog post on Monday that both the members and producers are “working hard together” on the comeback. “We will do our best to release the album in November,” he added, offering fans a long-awaited update.
The quartet isn’t taking it slow while preparing. They are in the middle of their Deadline world tour, which kicked off in Goyang, Korea. Just last month, they made history as the first K-pop girl group to headline a solo concert at Wembley Stadium in London on August 15–16.
Their latest single Jump has already proven their global reach, landing in the upper tier of both the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100 and the US Billboard Hot 100.
Yang also lifted the curtain on plans for other YG artists. Treasure will release its third mini album Love Pulse on Sep. 1. The producer noted that the group’s journey is entering a “second act” as members grow into their twenties.
BabyMonster is next in line with a mini album due Oct. 10, filled with four fresh tracks including title song We Go Up. Yang promised “concept-driven music videos and high-quality choreography clips,” adding that next year’s songs are already “80 to 90 percent recorded.”
