Based off Korea and Japan ticket prices, I think BTS will be very expensive compared to most kpop tours (likely on par with Blackpink or more)

A lot of western people find Korea and Japan to have some of the cheapest tickets so if these countries have higher prices compared to the norm than I definitely think it will apply to other countries especially western ones.

Blackpink Toronto Day 1 was infamously known to be super expensive. Seated floor close to the stage were $800-900 CAD not even VIP. VIP was $1.5K CAD. Day 1 sold out very fast but then Day 2 didn’t sell as well with the most expensive tickets left mostly unsold. To the point that tickets actually were dropped to half of original face value by Ticketmaster (I bought one of those tickets). Day 1 immediately became a sea of pink meaning that there was high resale and people purposely bought to scalp which didn’t work and many people lost a lot of money (my friends got very cheap last minute Day 1 tickets).

Do I think BTS will suffer the same fate as Blackpink? No as they have a larger dedicated fanbase and at least for Toronto, their shows are on the weekend which is in their favor (BP was weekdays). But I think it’s a fair assumption that ticket prices will be as expensive as Blackpink’s or even more. So wouldn’t harm people if they research how much Blackpink’s tickets originally were last year.
