I don’t know if it’s just me, but lately it feels like Bts and BLACKPINK members have been getting caught up in a huge hate train. I won’t mention any names because I don’t want to give attention to those people but honestly it’s getting exhausting.
It made me wonder: should there be a subreddit dedicated purely to positive discussions about BTS and BLACKPINK? A space where fans can celebrate them without wading through senseless hate. Where we can show that while no idol is above fair criticism but baseless negativity isn’t the answerand that love always shines brighter than hate.
You wouldn’t even have to be a fan of both to join like just be respectful. I think it could actually be pretty refreshing. Imagine seeing a BLINK post something like “i’m not really into BTS, but this performance was amazing,” or an ARMY post “I don’t follow BLACKPINK closely, but that was really impressive.” That kind of crossover positivity is so rare on Twitter where the fandoms are constantly at each other’s throats.
What’s funny is that in real life, most people I know who like one group usually appreciate the other too. BTS and BLACKPINK are basically the global faces of kpop so why is it considered taboo to openly support both? It feels dystopian that their fandoms clash so much online
Would you guys be interested in a space like that? Or maybe even some other idea. We need to drown out the senseless hate somehow…
