Amazing Taxi Driver Experience in Korea – Highly Recommend for Travelers with Luggage or Language Concerns

A few months ago, I was traveling from Korea to my home country with a friend, and as a foreigner, I was super anxious about arranging a taxi—especially with 6 large suitcases and no Korean friend to help me navigate things.

Apps like Kakao Taxi and other services didn’t have the best reputation, especially when it comes to handling a lot of luggage or communicating in English. After a lot of research, I found a taxi service mentioned here on Reddit (allvan.kr / 올밴), and I had the absolute best experience—mostly because of the driver.

Although he spoke very little English, he made every effort to communicate with me both over text and in person. His gestures, kindness, and patience went a long way. He was elderly but incredibly active, respectful, and professional. Unlike some drivers I had experienced before (even with fewer bags), he didn’t complain once—even with our six huge suitcases. He handled everything with so much care and zero fuss.

This post is really just to recommend him to anyone who is arriving at Incheon Airport, heading to/from Seoul, or simply needs a reliable, patient, and kind taxi driver—especially if you’re a foreigner or have lots of luggage.

If anyone is interested in booking him, feel free to DM me and I’ll gladly share his contact number. I’m not affiliated with the service in any way—just a genuinely grateful customer who wanted to spread the word. Even at an old age, he’s doing an amazing job helping and handling foreign travelers.
