Hello, I need some serious help piecing together my application for some Korean unis (aiming Yonsei, Korea, and SKKU) and I have a multi curriculum educational history. Would appreciate any insight, especially on document authentication.
Here’s my background:
• Grades 1-7: Local government school in my home country. • Grades 8-10 & IGCSEs: An international school in my home country (not part of the national system). • Grade 12: Canadian secondary school diploma (OSSD) from an accredited school.
My main confusion is about the document authentication process. I know the process for the government school docs but for the international school stuff (from year 8-10 and IGCSE), which was not part of the national system, so I have a lot of difficulties.
- Does it still need to go through the home country’s Ministry of Education? Or can I go straight to notarization -> MoFA -> Korean Embassy? Or another methods?
- Has anyone had experience where the international school sent transcripts directly and the uni accepted that?
For the Canadian OSSD, I’m planning to have the school send the transcript directly in a sealed envelope. Is this acceptable?
And these are my grades for Grade 12. • 90-95 percentage in core subjects (Adv Functions, Calculus, English, Bio, Chem, Physics). And also, I wanna know if the universities look previous grades like in year 10 or 11 because I messed up with some subjects except biology and chemistry. Thanks.
