At a Korean University I am enrolled in (will not disclose the name), they have the usual job fair, but among the companies listed is the notorious Palantir Technologies … I think everyone knows how evil and disgusting Palantir is with the likes of Peter Thiel and Alex Karp … who desire to control the populace and maintain a government surveillance system.
I did not know that Palatir would even be there when a colleague at an internship I did this summer who knows that I go to that university told me that Palantir would be there and he, a full Korean, was like, “an American tech company, super good!!!” I was bewildered as hell and asked him if he knows what Palantir is, and he was like, “umm, no, but it’s an American tech company, so it must be amazing!”
I know Koreans tend to worship everything and anything Western … but even after telling him what Palantir was and the evil they do … he was like still like, “umm, okay, but they’re still good!”
Nevertheless, I must say given the usual companies listed like Samsung, LG, Hyundai, etc. … I am a bit tempted about Palantir and the offer of money, despite all the evil they do. I know plutocrats and evil entities will eventually come for all of us, but the temptation of money is eating me.
