Why does it feel like indie KPop artists no longer exist?

Thinking back to 2010, I remember a lot of independent KPop groups. Groups that were just made up of a group of friends (usually music school students / recent graduates) making music. Often the budget would be obviously low but they’d still have pretty good music and music videos.

Examples include Blacklist, Neon Bunny, E.Via, Anne, YaYa, Elizabeth, JJ and so on.

Am I just not up to date with the cool kids anymore. Or has this circle of KPop completely vanished?
