So i.o.i has released their 3rd mini album LOOP celebrating their 10 year anniversary.
The title track Suddenly is a synth-pop track (retro vibes) based on search, but song is more on nostalogic and has a emotional tone, compared to their hits(very very very, whatta man) even though they had a short run
But the lyrics sums up the members and the fans emotions perfectly.
The song is about a person who had to say goodbye to someone dear, but everytime the person about to forget about the other, they suddenly remember the person, the moments they spent together and misses them
this is probably how the ioi members and the fans felt towards each other. They knew they had to say good bye as ioi, but even as time went by the members couldn’t forget about the times they spent as ioi, same for the fans.
And another thing that hits harder is that the members have come together after having a good run with their solo/group careers. It feels unreal that this lineup of successful solo artists/actors + group members came together(atleast for people who heard ioi post their disbandment).
Don’t know if i have heard a reunion song for a group that has comeback after 10 years before, but this song perfectly sums up what it feels like
