Hello my friends, I just realized something after a while of research, there’s not really that much content/discussion around King of Masked Singer that’s really opinion based, most of it is just news or discussion about a specific performance, but I’m really curious about people’s favorite performances especially as someone who binged watched it back to back during the C19 era (I don’t know if that’s still a word that needs to be censored hahaha)
Personally, my favorite performances are (in no particular order) :
Ha Hyun-Woo – Lacenza, Save Us : He might be my favorite participant in the series but this performance specifically gives me chills anytime I go back to it (which is everyday XD)
Han Dong-geun – Breathe : I cry everytime I listen to it, as if the original song isn’t suffocating enough, this has the grit of a mature man behind it, so it feels like he’s telling you everything’s gonna be OK even after grief
Rose – If it is You : dare I say her best performance of all time (to me obviously), I adore the original version, and her cover feels like a fresh take even though nothing changed majorly beat and tempo wise, her voice has a perfect color and timbre to take on this song
Seungkwan – Sorry : I’m a sucker for ballads and I can’t really articulate my feelings without risking repeating myself so I will just say this, this songs holds a precious place in my heart as it’s a song my mom constantly requests for me to sing even though I suck and I end up crying midway through singing, but I’ll always oblige to her request
and finally Solji – Maria : this is the song that made interested in the series in the first place, and it’ll stay my favorite performance forever, seeing Hani cry midway will never not affect me
