Happy Lunar New Year! -ddeok guk and more

Happy Lunar New Year everyone! My family had an early new year’s luncheon. My amazing mom made ddeok mandu guk (떡만두국), along with variety of jeons: beef and perilla leaf, pollack, prawn (모듬전: 깻잎육전, 동태전, 새우전), braised dried pollack (북어조림), baby perilla lead namul, (깻잎순나물) chwinamul (취나물), spicy deodwok muchim (더덕무침), spicy cucumber & bellflower roots muchim ( 오이 도라지 무침), kimchi, nabak kimchi (watery type of kimchi – it looks similar to dong chi mi, but doesn’t go through the fermentation period like dong chi mi and napa cabbage and radish are thinly sliced whereas dong chi mi mainly has bigger peices of radish. ) and short riba (LA갈비). My favorites were jeons.
