It’s a hard pill to swallow and many will call me a doomposter for this, but it is what it is.
The biggest BTS anti pales in comaprison to HYBE. I don’t think HYBE has done a single thing ever since the group’s military discharge to build any substantial or honest hype for their return. And anything bare minimum they’ve done has felt like just doing enough to not completely piss off the fanbase for their lack of enthusiasm.
I kinda get it, they do not want to be dependant on BTS forever, it’s obvious it has always been a sore spot for the company. They would rather waste millions on marketing for other groups at the hope to increase their independance than give an ounce of the energy and dedication they once used to have for BTS pre-HYBE creation.
Still, it feels kind of depressing, because that’s just one of many cold examples of how companies, not just HYBE, tend to operate. An act can build a company up from the ground, and that company will still not muster even half of the same enthusiasm and loyalty few years down the line.
