If you didn’t know, Ryujin performed the song at Itzy’s 6th fanmeeting. Kazuha performed it today at the 2025 KBS song festival.
Since people are already comparing them, I just wanted to note my observations.
Firstly, Ryujin only got a chance to practice the song 3 times before going on stage to perform it for the first time. I don’t think that’s comparable with someone being able to practice a stage for a highly anticipated music festival.
Also, the only way fans were even able to SEE Ryujin’s performance was because of fan recording. There’s barely any videos of her performing it in Japan during their fanmeet days there. The company released videos of the girls’ performances but decided not to release the solo performances, putting out a fanmeeting behind instead. She even had to release the dance practice through her bubble. How can you compare a fan recorded fancam to professional stage directing?
And the most controversial thing is lipsyncing. Fans trying to use Kazuha’s cover today to drag her for lipsyncing while Ryujin didn’t, both actually lipsynced. Their mics were literally away from their faces. Kazuha forgot to put the mic near her face at some point, and during Ryujin’s stage, the mic was even the wrong way around. Though, i was at their fanmeet in japan for day 2, and she sang quite a bit live then.
I think it’s interesting that even with the same song, the auras were completely different. Blue and red 😭
Anyways, both girls did absolutely amazing so I hope no fans create any unnecessary comparisons to drag the other down
