When I went to Japan, I went to a Korean restaurant and I don’t know what I ordered. They were transparent noodles that, as soon as I put them in my mouth, slipped straight down my throat automatically. I got really scared because I couldn’t even chew them. I would put them in my mouth and they went directly into my esophagus, and it frightened me a lot. When I tell people about it, nobody believes me, and I haven’t been able to find exactly what they were. They weren’t japchae or japchae noodles, and I’m not sure about konjac. I’ve tried konjac again in my country and yes, it’s quite slippery, but not as much as those noodles. And I never found out what dish it was ( the menu was in Japanese and I couldn’t read what it said, so I just pointed at the picture of what looked good and said “kore onegaishimasu” lol ). I remember that years ago I watched a video of a YouTuber who went to Korea, tried them, and got just as scared as I did, but I can’t find the video anymore. It was all back in 2016, and honestly I have no idea.
