Question about BBQ at home! Do you marinate the porkbelly? and how do you prevent the porkbelly from foaming up(leaking out the gunk)

From my experience, when i grill the porkbelly on the pan on the stove, the pork belly emits white substance while being cooked. I want to prevent that from happening, is it possible?
