I just need to say this because the amount of hate Stray Kids and Stays get lately is genuinely exhausting to watch. It feels impossible to go into any Kpop comment section without seeing like “Stray Kids is ahh” or “Stray kids makes ass music” and people mocking Stays like it’s a personality trait. Half the time it’s the same copy and paste comments too, like people aren’t even forming real opinions anymore, just jumping on a hate bandwagon because it gets attention.
And yes, I know this happens to other groups as well, I’m not denying that. But from what I personally see, Stray Kids and their fandom seem to get hit with it so consistently that it genuinely stands out.
Music is subjective. You don’t have to like their sound, you don’t have to stream them, you don’t even have to acknowledge them. It’s so easy to just not interact and move on. What I don’t understand is why disliking a group turns into spending time hating on them and the fans who support them.
And for context, I’m a Stay, but I’m not some hardcore fan trying to make them look perfect. I actually wasn’t into the group at first because of their music and assumed they just weren’t for me and suddenly it’s 2025 and I saw them live and was one of the best and fun days of my life so far. But even then, I didn’t use that as an excuse to drag them or attack people who liked them. I just minded my business and didn’t interact. That’s literally it. That’s all people have to do.
Every fandom has bad apples, but it’s weird how all Stays get judged because of a few loud ones. There are so many normal, kind fans who get hated on just for liking a group, and that’s honestly so unnecessary.
You don’t have to like Stray Kids. Just stop making hating them your whole online personality. Some of y’all be looking more like fans than haters seeing how much they be in your mouths.
