Netflix’s animated sensation KPop Demon Hunters isn’t just winning over audiences on screen—it’s also rewriting music history. Its breakout anthem Golden has once again taken the crown on the UK’s Official Singles Chart, holding the No. 1 spot for a sixth week in total.
According to the Official Charts Company on Friday, girl group Huntrix’s Golden continued its hot streak, topping the Singles Top 100 for the week of Sept. 12–18. That makes it five weeks in a row at No. 1 and six weeks overall, the longest run ever by a K-pop track on the UK chart. Across the Atlantic, Golden has already notched four weeks at the summit of the Billboard Hot 100, proving its global appeal.
And the chart power doesn’t stop with just one song. Four tracks from KPop Demon Hunters made it into the UK Top 10 this week alone. Rival boy band Saja Boys climbed with Soda Pop at No. 4 and Your Idol at No. 7, while TWICE’s Jeongyeon, Jihyo and Chaeyoung kept Takedown steady at No. 24.
Beyond the film’s soundtrack, K-pop stars continue to shine. Twice’s Strategy came in at No. 35, Blackpink’s Jump at No. 37, Katseye’s Gabriela at No. 45, and Rosé’s APT. at No. 52.
In its weekly analysis, the Official Charts highlighted the phenomenon, noting that “K-pop dominates this week, with six tracks breaking into the Top 40,” underscoring the genre’s growing influence in one of the world’s most competitive music markets.
