A Korean entrepreneur who first brought American-style hot dogs to Korea

In Korea, we’re all familiar with “corn dogs,” but the American-style hot dog (sausage in a bun) was first introduced by this one entrepreneur decades ago. He started many different businesses, but unfortunately was scammed multiple times — losing around ₩60 billion (~$45M).

Even though many of his franchise stores closed, he’s still considered a “legendary” figure in Korean F&B history. These days, he has shifted into a completely different field: selling Korean cosmetics (K-beauty) in New York.

It made me think: not every positive-minded person succeeds, but those who do succeed almost always have an incredibly resilient and optimistic mindset.
