Wasn't the monsoon season (Jangma) over?

Source: Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA)

According to KMA, on the 17th, South Korea will be affected by a low-pressure system moving eastward from the Yellow Sea. The entire country is expected to be mostly cloudy, with heavy rain forecast for most regions. Expected rainfall amounts are as follows:

  • Seoul and the Chungcheong region: 50–150 mm
  • Gangwon Province: 50–100 mm
  • Jeolla and Gyeongsang regions: 30–100 mm
  • Jeju Island: 20–60 mm

+Heavy winds, thunder and lightning, and intense downpours

I heard this year’s rainy season ended quickly with just a few light showers, but now it’s pouring again this week. It seems the Chungcheong 충청 and Gyeonggi 경기 regions have been hit quite hard. I hope everyone stays safe!
