Can new groups catch a break pls and thank youuu

So I am an older kpop stan and I’ve been really liking and getting into the newer groups but I’ve noticed that people are also judging and kinda praying on their downfalls… if a group has only just debuted and only has a mini album or a single album..

how are you comparing them to groups that have mini albums and full albums or if a group doesn’t immediately have success like new jeans or ive, it feels like you guys consider them flops and it’s sad because a lot of idols worked hard to debut just for people to be hateful towards them.. you have to give them time to grow, this happens with artists all the time, not every time a group is gonna debut popular but find success later in their careers… aespa is alot bigger now than they were at during debut and the same can go for g-idle and more.. [ there are better examples but im writing this at the gym lol ]

it’s really frustrating that the expectation for idols selling a lot or charting crazy is so high when an organic success is what should be expected.. also as someone who used to stan groups that were not a the big 3, it can be hard to see groups that are so talent take longer to be recognized or sometimes they never do…

so I would say I wish people were more understanding and just liked kpop for the fun and actual stan groups that they enjoy. I love it when my groups have a lot of content and good music so I’m gonna stan a group based on that, not whether or not they have 100+ million views on a music video/ their debut video

Also side note: music show wins used to be rare, like there are a lot of groups that didn’t get it with their debut and that’s okay because they achieved them later on in their careers

Does anyone feel the same or if you feel differently let me know? I’m open to everyone’s opinions and want to have a good fair discussion about it !
