I’m not saying Lee Jae-myung is perfect, but I reckon some of his policies actually make a lot of sense. For starters, the whole legislative recall system idea is pretty solid. If politicians aren’t doing their job, people should have the power to boot them out. Makes sense, right? More accountability can only be a good thing. I also reckon his push for AI development is pretty smart. He wants to train 100,000 AI developers, which, considering how tech is taking over, feels like a no-brainer. Future-proofing jobs should be a priority for any leader. Then there’s his idea of a 30 trillion won supplementary budget to boost the economy after all the recent political drama. That’s a huge number, but if it actually helps businesses and people struggling right now, it’s worth considering. And I’ve got to say, I reckon his push to reduce LNG dependence and move toward renewables is a step in the right direction. Investing in green energy makes sense both environmentally and economically in the long run. I’m not locked into supporting any one party, but I’ve got to admit, some of Lee’s policies seem pretty forward-thinking.
