Kg’s situation shows how impossible it is for kpop idols to leave their company

VCha’s KG is in a lawsuit with JYP, and she has to sue JYP to get out of her contract. JYP, one of the good ones, is tacking on asinine fees so that if she wants to leave, a fucking minor has to pay an unreasonable sum of money, something to the tune of $150,000 for “rent”. Now, practically almost all of twitter and reddit are on KG and VCha’s side, showing their support for her. Talking about how hard she had it, etc.

On the other hand, it’s crazy how when a group like NWJN’s wants to leave HYBE, the entirety of reddit will attack them and say, “but they signed a contract. Who cares, that they have to pay a bs $500,000,000 which they don’t have. OMG they should be so grateful to HYBE. They weren’t mistreated, etc. etc” The double standards on reddit are insane, and I’m even ashamed to associate with such human beings.

All idols have it tough. If a bunch of minors and teens want to leave their company for whatever reason, I really hope your first response isn’t to slander them. If a group of minors and teenagers say they were mistreated, I hope you guys believe them. Just because they don’t air all their grievances publicly, doesn’t mean they’re not having a hard time. Not like some of you will believe them anways. At the very least, please don’t curse at them because you don’t like them. Thank you.
