So, for those who actually enjoy reading these (all two of you), sorry that I definitely forgot I was doing them. But for everyone else, I’m sorry to say that ya boi is back and he finally finished his agency rankings! So for the unaware, I have been ranking the title tracks of every group from the big k-pop agencies (SM, YG, JYP, and HYBE) and have finally reached Cube. Now fortunately for me, Cube is not only the final agency I will be doing this for (unless I decide to do one for FNC just for giggles) but they also have relatively few songs. So before we get into the songs actually being ranked, I’d like to explain how this whole thing works.

Methodology
This ranking is based off of K-Profiles discography and group lists, Let it be known I still consider singles to be title tracks, and I also excluded any Cube groups I didn’t think were idol groups. You also have to have debuted under Cube for me to count you, at which point I will count all of your releases even if you leave the group (for instance, Beast debuted under them so Highlight was also reviewed. Is that janky? Probably. But hey, my ranking. If you don’t like it just make your own to your own liking, I even have the list of the 166 songs to review below for ya.
How ranking works
I ranked every song from 1-10, with 1 being the worst and 10 being the best. 1-2 means I actively hate this song or have effectively nothing good to say about it at all. 3-4 means I don’t like a song but it’s not quite as an intense dislike as much as general distaste. 5 means I have no real feelings towards the song at all, it was effectively “meh”. 6-7 means I passively liked a song, and wouldn’t necessarily put it on most of the time but wouldn’t turn it off either. 8-9 is a song I quite enjoyed and actively seek out and would recommend to anyone. 10 is a rare and elusive tier of songs I consider to be effectively perfect. A final disclaimer, the placement within a tier is largely meaningless for the middling songs. Outside of the lowest ranked 5’s and highest ranked 7’s, that entire range of songs I view as roughly similar and the ranking within the 5-7 range (which will be grouped as one section) is all but arbitrary. There are a lot of songs, I will not be ordering every single one in a way I’m confident I will say holds true. I will make a note about the upper level 7’s that I consider to almost be 8’s, but otherwise the ordering of those sections is just the order in which I ranked them. I don’t want to arrange that many songs I feel kinda “meh” about, so don’t worry too much about the specifics of where a song you like is within those ranges as much as the number it’s ranked as.

Overall Thoughts
Well, that took a while to get around to, but now that I have I’ve finally finished the agency group rankings. Sooner or later I’ll make a post summarizing my findings with a ranking of the worst and best songs in it as well (so all 1-3’s and all 10’s will be ranked for the hall of shame and hall of fame respectively). But for this one all I saw is what we all already knew: Cube has an incredibly talented lineup that makes good music that was terribly mishandled and accordingly never got as popular as they deserved. But with all of that being said, after the overall ranking summary post I’ll get started on the Big 3 soloist and subunit rankings because I hate myself I guess.
