“Wife” (G)I-dle lyrics— it’s supposed to say “cocoRoco”.

Just thinking about it and decided to finally post.

While I understand why people would think the line is “supposed” to be coco-loco, that literally.. doesn’t make sense? What does that mean? To be coco loco? Someone please tell me.

To clarify coco-loco: said like “cocoa” as chocolate, and “loco” as the Spanish word for crazy.

That’s not what they’re saying.

The official lyric book says “cocoroco”. Specifically, “taste is cocoroco”.

Cocoroco is an alcoholic beverage. It’s incredibly high in alcohol content.

The line, “taste is cocoroco” is correct, and makes sense.

It means the taste is heavily intoxicating, like this alcohol beverage.

the reason it’s mispronounced by other members when they sing it, is because their native tongue recognizes the “L” (lull) sound. so when they read it in Korean, it quite literally could be coco loco or cocoroco, as they’d be spelled nearly the same in translated, phonetically broken down Hangul (Korean alphabet/lang). However, the intent was always “cocoroco”, as “coco-loco” makes little sense.

So yeah idk what do y’all think. Sorry if this has already been brought to attention
