Jaehyun from NCT is mainly known and is heavily regarded for his visuals, however, it seems to downplay how talented the man is as I don’t hear it much.
In terms of vocals, he’s overlooked as he’s not the typical flashy or high belting type singer, but his foundational technique is quite solid and is around the level of many other SM Main Vocalists like Xiaojun, Winter, and Sohee which are often known as strong vocalists. I’m not vested in dancing so cmiiw but I saw a video by a dancer where he’s ranked as the fifth best dancer in the entirety of NCT even surprassing Taeyong, in general most reviews I see of his dancing consider him as one of the best dancers in NCT. He’s also a pretty good performer and a solid rapper (better than my boy Johnny at least 😭) + of course the fact he has otherwordly visual.
Yeah I still often need to consciously acknowledge it, but considering that isn’t he quite up there with other SM Talents lol? IDK why he often isn’t considered an ace member when his skills are quite up there with people like Seulgi.
