How do I make the sauce for dakgangjeong at home?

I am Italian, lately I eat a lot of Korean food and I would like to learn how to make the sauce that goes into dakgangjeong at home.

Is there any secret? Can you make something decent with the ingredients accessible in Italy?

Any advice or suggestion is welcome, I want to be able to make this sauce at home and make it as faithful as possible to the original.
