Nah it’s not a hate post or anything like that, I also follow lot of 4th generation idols and artists. It’s more like a personal connection and dedication I used to have back then, now it’s different. I still listen to new idols music, stream them and post appreciation for their work or watch watch them few times in variety shows but thing thing have become quite spontaneous opposed to my earlier habitual supporting
I got into k-pop through the 3rd generation, that time period everything was so bright and heart touching, well the company and idols sold that image so it’s understandable why everyone were so spell bent. I followed so many 3rs generation groups and supported through any means, the earlier album of BTS (love yourself) it generated feelings in me which are so hard to describe because it was something that really touched my soul, the songs and the mv were crafted in a certain way with a particular mood aesthetic. I loved watching all the reaction videos of idols during that time and even watched all the performances of award functions then ISAC. Those were like really simpler times, 2nd and 1st generation were like too scandalous for me to really get into them. I only listened their songs but couldn’t become their fan
I guess this feeling of everything changing and experiencing struggles in connecting with the k-pop scene is cause 3rd gen idols are now in military, have fewer activites than before (red velvet and blackpink etc) which is reasonable since they are focusing on solo acts. Then the scandals coming one by one, hardest thing that hit me was astro tragedy, I’m still not over it even though I was not their fan then recent scandal of taeil
