Dual citizen inquiry

hi everyone, a bit of a weird question. My mother was born in the US to a Korean national but has not renounced Korean citizenship as far as I know (I assume the Korean government views her as a Korean citizen only). Does this mean that technically I am also considered a Korean citizen (born to a Korean national) or is this wrong? If so, do I have to do military service (I live outside Korea and have no intention of living in Korea for an extended period of time)? Also can I be a dual citizen?

I would appreciate any help, thanks
