Do idols sing live at MAMA awards? Does it depend on the show or the group?

I literally can never tell when idols are singing live or not. I know for some awards they lip sync and some they sing on top of a back track. For MAMA, do they sing live? Does whether or not they sing live dependent on the type of show/ award it is or do some groups tend to do it more than others? How can you tell if they’re singing live?
