Do South Koreans really believe that Taiwan’s economy has surpassed South Korea’s?

It seems that global media are now evaluating the economies of Taiwan and South Korea based on their stock markets, concluding that Taiwan has overtaken South Korea. Many media outlets also believe that TSMC has surpassed Samsung, especially in terms of market value. However, South Korea still leads Taiwan in both small and large enterprise salaries, and its industrial structure is much healthier. Apart from the semiconductor industry, most publicly listed companies in Taiwan offer annual salaries of only $30,000 to $40,000, while small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) pay around $1,000 per month.

How are South Korea’s mainstream media reporting on Taiwan’s economy? Also, do you personally think Taiwan’s economy is doing well?
