GS Global launches BYD’s T4K electric refrigerator truck

South Korea’s general trading company GS Global Corp. announced on Monday that it will launch BYD Company Ltd.’s 1-ton electric truck, the T4K Refrigerated Truck.

The T4K refrigerated truck is BYD’s second electric truck, following the T4K 1-ton electric truck launched by GS Global in April last year.

The T4K refrigerated truck features an 82 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) blade battery, allowing it to travel 205 km at room temperature and 164 km at low temperatures.

The vehicle operates the refrigerator using its battery, maintaining the temperature even when the engine is off, making it eco-friendly.

The unified power source for the vehicle and the refrigerator also simplifies charging.

Additionally, compared to existing refrigerated trucks, the T4K refrigerated truck has a height that is about 20 cm taller, enabling more efficient cargo loading.

The refrigeration performance is also strong, capable of reducing the internal temperature of the refrigerator compartment from 30 degrees Celsius to minus 18 degrees Celsius in just 69 minutes.

When maintaining minus 18 degrees Celsius for 10 hours, the total power consumption is only about 10.7 kW, demonstrating efficiency.
