Why do you think the peak in a group’s career is when their fans no longer enjoy their current work as much?

It’s something I’ve noticed, that point where they’re getting more exposure, new records, etc. It’s at the same time that fans (obviously not all, but many) feel a lot of changes in what they enjoyed about them as a group, and although they’re happy with what they’re achieving, they’re no longer enjoying their current songs and albums as much.

Is it because their music has become more generic?

Is it because they’re generally losing interest in the group?

Have they strayed too far from what they wanted to represent?
