Jay Park & the Bare Minimum on Stage : Effort Missing

I’ve been watching a lot of performances lately from rookie groups to veterans and one thing keeps bugging me: some artists really don’t seem to put in much effort anymore.

Jay Park’s Mommae performances are one example that stood out. He just kind of walks around, says a few lines, and twerks a little. No vocal effort, no energy and it’s so obvious.

People spend real money, wait in line, and get emotionally invested in these shows. The least an artist can do is try. You don’t need to do acrobatics or sing perfectly, but you do need to respect the stage and your audience enough to give it some heart.

is it burnout, ego, or just a bad day?
