So I was staying in Korea until last week for foreign language studies. Through HireVisa I opened a bank account through Hana Bank which I used extensively during my stay. My visa (and therefore ARC) expired the 10th of June, thus I left the country on the 9th. My passport also happened to expire on the 16th so it was good timing. I still had some lingering money in the account, I’m paying my last phone bill with that, and I also received my deposit back into the korean account (2 800 000 won).
Well, now according the bank app I cannot do an international remittance because the passport expired. Okay, fine. I’ll have to renew my passport. But then I tried contacting Hana Bank, and apparently since my ARC has expired I can’t get through neither through the website or the phone line. I have no idea how to contact them, so really at this point it doesnt matter if my passport gets renewed because there is no way of getting through to them. Does anyone know how I can contact them despite not having a valid ARC?
